Grand piano touch: Responsive Hammer III keyboard mechanism
The CN201's Responsive Hammer III keyboard mechanism has been developed to recreate the touch sensation of a Kawai grand piano. Each key is authentically weighted using "graded" metal hammers (slightly heavier in the lower registers and lighter in the higher registers), just like an acoustic piano. These weights also allow the released keys to return to their original position without the use of springs, resulting in a smooth and natural playing experience.
The action mechanism chassis is constructed using reinforced materials that ensure the keyboard's rigidity and stability when played forcefully. Additionally, a series of rubber and felt-lined cushions absorb the energy from key and hammer movements, helping to reduce unwanted noise and earning the RHIII a reputation as one of the quietest digital piano keyboards on the market.
